The BJP strengthening its mix against the Trinamool Congress government in West Bengal has called a walk to Titagarh police headquarters on Friday to press for a CBI test into the homicide of gathering pioneer Manish Shukla. Barrackpore MP and senior gathering pioneer Arjun Singh told journalists that those behind the daring homicide of Shukla can’t be brought to book except if the test is given over to CBI from the state CID.
Shukla, a nearby helper of Singh and a councilor was shot dead on October 4 night by a posse of four bicycle-borne men extremely close to Titagarh police headquarters when he was conversing with some BJP laborers outside the gathering office on B T Road. Shukla’s dad joined by senior BJP pioneers had met Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar the following day requesting a CBI test into his homicide.
Singh stated, “We will increase our fights for CBI investigation into the slaughtering of Shukla which was plotted by Trinamool Congress to debilitate BJP’s association in Barrackpore-Titagarh belt. The genuine guilty parties should be uncovered.
“We will calmly dissent outside Titagarh police headquarters tomorrow. Yet, we trust the police will do nothing which will intensify the circumstance during the dissent,” he said.
The BJP and the police conflicted in Kolkata and in neighboring Howrah city on Thursday as countless saffron party laborers and allies took out a walk to the state secretariat over intensifying peace challenging COVID-19 guidelines. The assembly will start from Titagarh station and end before Titagarh police headquarters.
In the interim, West Bengal BJP President Dilip Ghosh and BP Yuva Morcha National President Tejasvi Surya visited Shukla’s living arrangement at Khardah on Thursday night and told relatives the gathering will dispatch a wild dissent requesting that his aggressors are rebuffed. Ghosh later told columnists that the police is being utilized for a political reason by the Trinamool Congress government and it spelled fate for vote based system.
“Police is important for the organization. The organization should work autonomously and not at the offering of any gathering,” he said.
In a counter-fight, Trinamool Congress will take out a major convention in the Titagarh region on October 13 to challenge BJP’s “ploy to make aggravation in the tranquil Barrackpore belt” after Shukla’s homicide, party boss whip in the gathering Nirmal Ghosh said. The convention will begin from Titagarh police headquarters and end at Chiria More at Barrackpore, he said. A senior cop said four individuals have been captured so far regarding the homicide.
