Delhi HC moves more than 100 locale court judges

The Delhi High Court has moved more than 100 sitting appointed authorities of the Delhi area courts, including Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Vishal Pahuja, who had been directing the criminal criticism case recorded by previous Union pastor M J Akbar against columnist Priya Ramani.

The request by Registrar General Manoj Jain Wednesday recorded the names of 168 adjudicators who were moved, and another 47 legal officials who have been posted as Metropolitan Magistrates.

ACMM Pahuja has been moved from Rouse Avenue locale court to Karkardooma area court as Senior Civil Judge-Cum-Rent Controller.

In the slander case, Ramani’s legal counselors have finished their last contentions and Akbar’s attorneys are going to finish their answer to the contentions.

Ramani had leveled charges of sexual wrongdoing and badgering against Akbar, who sued her and left the Union Council of Ministers in 2018.
