During pandemic, 18 ghettos in Ahmedabad to get versatile hand wash stations


To check the spread of Covid-19 in ghetto territories of Ahmedabad city and to encourage hand washing for occupants there, two willful associations have fired setting up compact handwash stations at 18 ghetto pockets of the city.

Because of the absence of disinfection and mindfulness in ghetto territories, they are more defenseless against experience the spread of Covid-19. Remembering this, the undertaking was begun by the Agakhan Agency for Habitat (AAH) with UNICEF uphold in Ahmedabad.

The objective is to place 35 stations in ghetto pockets of five significant territories of Ahmedabad – Danilimda, Behrampura, Ramol, Vasna, and Sarkhej. So far nine hand washing stations have been finished and introduced.

Program Coordinator of AAH, Mohammed Irfan Khalifa, said that the venture is being executed during Covid-19 to give current and effectively accessible hand wash office to ghetto inhabitants.
