Land scam: The Vigilance Bureau (VB) on Tuesday delivered tehsildar Varinder Dhoot, Patwari Iqbal Singh, numberdaar of Seonk town Gurnam Singh and property vendor Sham Lal in a court regarding fouling up changes of 1,295 sections of land of shamlat land (town regular land). The court remanded all the blamed in seven-day police authority.
An official representative of Vigilance Bureau (VB) said on the check of archives during the test, it was discovered that Varinderpal Singh Dhoot, the then Naib Tehsildar of Majri block, Kanugo Raghbir Singh and Patwari Iqbal Singh alongside property seller Sham Lal, Nambardar Gurnam Singh influenced the transformation of shamlat land at Seonk town, Tehsil Majri.
He said that while doing the transformation of division of 1,295 sections of land of shamlat land, roughly 117 sections of land of offers were adjusted by lessening the portions of 24 recipients distinguished as Baljit Kaur, Naseeb Singh, Banta Singh, Ugajar Singh, and so forth, and added the portions of others, to be specific Ram Krishan, Kulwinder Singh and so on who are not even inhabitant of this town.
The representative added that because of the expansion and abatement in portions of recipients, a distinction of 99 sections of land 4 Kanal 14.32 marla was found. Numerous investors, in whose name changes were embraced, were not even occupants of the town and have not been followed during the cautiousness request.
The request found that Varinderpal Singh Dhoot, Kanugo Raghbir Singh, Patwari Iqbal Singh in intrigue with property vendor Sham Lal Gujjar, Tarsem Lal, Balbir Singh, Jaswinder Singh, Gurpreet Singh, Manbir Singh, Kabal Singh, and Gurnam Singh Nambardar sold this land based on GPAs for crores of rupees to Anand Khosla, Nishan Singh, and others.
The VB had enrolled an FIR against 11 individuals on Monday based on the request directed by the VB. The request was given over to the VB in 2017 when Dhoot was posted as the tehsildar at Majri tehsil.
