Moderna says CDC board suggests its Covid-19 antibody for grown-ups

Moderna Inc said on Saturday the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices cast a ballot to suggest the utilization of the organization’s Covid-19 antibody on individuals 18 years old and more established.

The board cast a ballot 11-0 for the antibody, the organization said in a public statement.

The vote result came a day after the Food and Drug Administration’s approval for crisis utilization of Moderna’s Covid-19 immunization.

“ACIP suggestion is another progression forward in our journey to address this overwhelming pandemic with an immunization,” Chief Executive Officer Stephane Bancel said in the delivery.
