US invites India at UN Security Council, says anticipating work with India


The US invited India to the United Nations Security Council and said it anticipates working over the shared interests towards a tranquil, secure India-Pacific, said the Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs, US Department of State on Monday.

In a tweet, the Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs (SCA), expressed, “another year carries new occasions to fortify associations with old companions and accomplices.” The tweet added, “We invite India to the UN Security Council and anticipate working with @IndiaUNNewYork (Permanent Mission of India to the United Nations, New York) to propel our shared advantages in a more tranquil, secure Indo-Pacific and world.

” Earlier on Monday, the Indian public banner was introduced at United National Security Council (UNSC) stakeout as India expected the enrollment of the UN body for the eighth time as a non-lasting individual from the ground-breaking UN body for the 2021-22 time frame.

“As India expects the enrollment of the Security Council for the eighth time, it is an honor for me as the Permanent Representative of India to participate in the present banner establishment service,” said TS Tirumurti, Permanent Representative of India during the function.
